Havell Edition Audubons from the Earl of Caledon Set

The prints in BOLD are part of the Havell Edition Plates that were originally part of John James Audubon's personal set. Audubon did most of his sales himself, and in September of 1842 he traveled to Canada to meet with the Lord Caledon, the Third Earl of Caledon. Audubon sold his personal set of plates to the Earl (along with a subscription to his Quadrupeds), and they remained in Canada with the family of the Earl until they were individually auctioned at Sotheby's in January of 1985. Those listed here were purchased by Shelby Gilley.

The prints that are not listed in bold italics are also Havell Edition prints, but were not part of the Earl of Caledon Set.
