Zinnias - Clementine Hunter

Zinnias in a Beautiful Red Pot, 1965

18 x 24 in

A beautiful version of one of her more interesting subjects and her favorite flower, zinnias. The uniqueness of this particular piece is the beauty of the red pot. Unlike many of her zinnias, she made marks in white paint as if making marks to resemble reflections. The background is painted black which makes the colors pop. The flowers are painted in yellows, reds and purples, predominantly.
