Caroline Durieux

Landscape , 1963

Cliché-Verre
16 x 20 in

Although cliché verre was around before Durieux's prints, she tried her hand at the process in 1957. She worked with LSU biochemist Dr. John F. Christman and was able to produce color cliché verres. Durieux's adaptation of the dye-transfer process used to create her color electron prints and color-photographic printing techniques helped to make this possible.
